The Youth Employment and Opportunity Program formerly known as the Summer Job Program is a federally funded program which has been in operation for over 36 years in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.  The program provides job readiness training and placement services to approximately 2500 students per year. Phase 1 of the program consists of work-based learning at both public and private work sites during the summer months. Phase 2 of the program involves school-based learning during the nine months of the school year. These services include academic tutoring, adult mentoring programs, internships, leadership training, life-skills training, supportive services and follow-up.
