  Special Note:

Educators may become highly qualified by completing 90 CLOCK hours of professional development (PD) for each core content area they teach. To meet the federal HQT definition, up to 45 CLOCK hours may be in pedagogy, while a minimum of 45 CLOCK hours MUST be in the core content area being taught (see illustration at right).
