Pedagogy: Champs- Proactive Classroom Management

This CHAMPs course will give a systematic guide for classroom teachers who want to improve their current classroom management plans.  The class is structured to help teachers identify and maintain the effective parts of their current plans, while concurrently identifying and strengthening any weak parts of their management plans. This class will help teachers manage the behavior of students more positively and effectively.  The class is broken down into seven sessions.  The participants will present a lesson they have created to teach their students procedures and routines that need to be in place in order to maintain a positive learning environment.  CMSD’s goal is to become a premier district in the United States of America.  This class will improve student behavior enabling then to comprehend their lessons and pass Ohio mandated tests.  Participants are required to  bring in evidence of implementation via samples of student work to each class and develop a lesson and use that lesson with their students.
