The String Program at CSA
The String Program at the Cleveland School of the Arts is under the direction of Dianna Richardson. This program provides the students to perform in many different ensembles as they develop their musical skills. IN addition to the performance classes, students are required to participate in ensembles and the theory program of the school. Students are encouraged to continue their studies through the summer at the Cleveland Music School Settlement, Interlochen Music Camp, and at other venues throughout the United States. Scholarship help is avail bale fro those who cannot afford private lessons. Private lessons are also offered during the school day. The String program at CSA is entirely funded by donations to the Friends of CSA.
Courses include Beginning Orchestra, Intermediate Orchestra, Advanced
Orchestra, CSA Chamber Players, Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Chamber
Music Ensembles; Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, and Harp Instruction, Music Theory,
Composing and Arranging, Music History, Conducting, Jazz Theory and Keyboard
Pedagogy.
