The Drama Major at CSA is a grade 6 -12 program. The curriculum provides the students with an opportunity to learn about all phases of the dramatic experience: acting; history; major playwrights; performance; stage craft; set design; lighting; technical crafts; auditions; play writing; make up; costuming; box office; theater management and direction.

Opportunities for Drama Majors include frequent field trips to performances, classes at the Cleveland Play House, opportunities to extend learning through a relationships with Karamu House, Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Cuyahoga Community College, Playhouse Square, and various community theaters.  Students also have opportunities to perform in the community in theater, radio and television, and enrichment with instruction.
