The primary goal of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District is to become a premier school district in the United States of America.

A Household Application for Meal Benefits will be required to continue providing free meals to all district students.

Cleveland Metropolitan Schools participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Child Nutrition Programs, implemented through the Ohio Department of Education Division of School Food Service.  These programs provide nutrition that promotes learning.

THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

Provides nutritious lunches and the opportunity to practice skills learned in classroom nutrition education.

THE SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAM

Ensures that all children have access to a healthy breakfast at school to promote learning readiness and healthy eating behaviors.

TEAM NUTRITION

Schools enrolled in Team Nutrition demonstrate a commitment to help students meet the dietary guidelines for Americans.  Team Nutrition provides schools with nutrition education materials for children and families.  State agency partners provide training and technical assistance to support these programs in local schools.
