Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition/Divide/Dividend

    DISTRIBUTIVE PROPERTY OF MULTIPLICATION OVER ADDITION Multiplication by the same factor may be distributed over two or more addends. Example: 3 x (6 + 4) = (3 x 6) + (3 x 4) = 18 + 12 = 30
    DIVIDE To separate into equal parts, pieces, groups or sets.. Example: x x x x x x x x x x 10 ? 2 = 5
    DIVIDEND A number that shows the total amount to be separated into equal parts, groups of sets by another number. Example: 100 ? 25 = 4, the dividend is 100
